Village People

Leave it to Charity Village, the non-profit job posting site of choice, to cover all the proverbial bases.

Whether your passion is the environment, children's theatre, Chinese Gardens, or even horses, this "village" has a little something for everyone. (see some of the current postings below)

When in Rome...

Hi, all

Just a quick reminder to register for the NSC Forum discussion blog (if you're interested in participating at some point) over the next week or so seeing as your much-heralded personal invitation will expire after four weeks. If you've lost your invite and would like another, please email me (bill@northshorecompass.com) and I'll be happy to send out an emergency second edition. I've posted a "softball" question there today in hopes of getting some more useful discussion going and really taking advantage of all the amazing perspectives available from our alumni. Here's the direct link if you haven't had a chance to check it out yet.

Uber-posting board

Howdy, troops

Thanks to the efforts of new Compassita Karin K., we've uncovered a fab new job posting board that scans over 100 regular posting sites (Craigslist, Charity Village, Workopolis, Monster, etc) in one fell swoop. It's called Wowjobs (http://www.wowjobs.ca/start.aspx) and has all the standard features to allow you to hone your search. It's very easy to use and you can also save recent searches and request job alert notifications when preferred job types are posted in the future. Being a relatively new service, they're soliciting feedback on user experience and asking for suggestions to make it as useful as possible.

In any event, if it helps you cowboys and cowgirls git along the path towards your dream job, so much the better.

Gidde'on up now...
