Spring in-site?

Howdy, folks - hope everyone's surviving winter's last stand this week (What happened to "In like a lion and out like a lamb", I ask you?

Just wanted to mention that our networking website is up to 118 fine members but there's always room on the bus for a few more (special rates for all of you vacating the Canucks bandwagon this week). If you haven't had a chance to check it out, I hope you'll take a tour and see if there's anything of interest you might currently be missing. We've recently seen postings on various and stimulating topics such as ideas for rejuvenating one's creativity (thanks, Corey!), requests for topics to be covered on a sustainability-focused radio show (thanks, Kim!), and a helpful summary of local resources available for those living with a mental illness (thanks, Bill G.!). Add to that a regular supply of interesting job postings and several inspirational reads of post-Compass experiences and I hope we've got something worth checking out. As always, if you need an invitation refresher, please send word and I'll ferry one out post haste.

Keep your mittens handy and snowtires firmly-affixed, all.

Green light, go!

Hey, gang, hope you're springing forward into new and interesting life events these days.

For any of you interested in "green" careers and environmentally-related idea-swapping, the Globe 2008 Conference and Trade Fair is happening this week (March 12-14) at the Vancouver Convention Center with the intended focus on approaching environmental issues from a business perspective (ie. seek solutions that are good for business, good for the community, and good for the environment). With a plethora of prominent speakers and over four hundred exhibitors at the trade fair, it promises to be a beehive of activity and discourse. Feel free to check it out in more detail here: http://www.globe2008.ca/documents/GL08_ConfProgram.pdf

And, if you were a member of our networking website you'd already have heard about the free conference pass (thanks, Sheila!) but, in case we still haven't arm-twisted you into joining, here's the link: http://www.globe2008.ca/documents/trade_fair/GLOBE2008_TradeFairPass.pdf

On that note, we're up to 109 quality members on the networking website but there's always room for more. As always, if you need a invitation refresher, please don't hesitate to send word.

Enjoy being green but beware the Ides of March (and the ire of Marce, ideally), all.
