Summer lovin'

Hey, gang - here are a few more info items to pass along:

1. Marce will be on holidays starting Aug 15th and will be back at work on Sept 2nd and I'll be off from Aug 18th until Sept 3rd. The Centre will be open as per usual during these times and ably-staffed by the remaining Compass superstaff.

2. Upon my return, I'll be sending a formal petition for presenters at the Sept 21st Compass Show 'n Shine to send a list of resources that they need to house and display their wares and services (ie. wall space, tables, computer access, photocopying, etc) to make sure we've got enough space and materials for everyone to show off their shiny best. The roster is still open for anyone who would like to add his or her name to the list of presenters to do so - we believe in abundance, remember?

3. There have been some interesting postings on the networking website recently including Trevor's uber-helpful "The Savvy Seeker's Guide to Information Interviewing", Bill G's tips on how to re-use and/or recycle old computer-related technology, and Monica's link to the fascinating mini-documentary called, "The Story of Stuff". Sabrina and Camilo have also helped out by adding some interesting-sounding job-postings, and Corey kindly supplied a link to a free online self-awareness workbook for those of us who want to continue our self-exploration journey. Many thanks to all of our posters and to the rest of you who tune in and help make the site useful and relevant.
