Such a fine line between networking and not working...

Howdy, folks - hope you're all staying warm during our continuing cold spell (yes, I know, Prairie-types and Easterners, this ain't really cold but for us Lotuslanders, it's cutting into our tennis season).

Two quick info items for you:
1. Due to semi-popular request, I've attached the two resource sheets we give out during the Compass program to the networking website in case you've lost yours and need a replacement. Also, Marion has just created a fab new group on the site called Entrepreneurs where business professionals, entrepreneurs, and executives can connect, converse, and use their respective talents to help each other get where they want to go - feel free to join up. And, speaking of networking, check out Mary's link to the High Output Business Network, another interesting take on getting connected. Plus there are also several new site enhancements to report including an advanced member search function and several new "My Page" themes to customize your profile (check out my fresh new look!) - feel free to ask for more info on how these work. Click here for a quick visit to the Alumni website.

2. It's official, we're having our Third Annual Compass Reunion on Thursday, February 26th from 6:30-8PM. It's a chance to revisit the Compass Cocoon, catch up with old group-mates, and maybe meet some new folks who can help with your journey, work-wise or otherwise. I'll be sending a survey along a little later to see who's planning to attend but, for now, keep your calendars clear - we're hoping to top last year's mark of 65 fine folks on hand.

Until then, keep your earmuffs snug and snowshoes at the ready, all.

New year, familiar pitch

Happy New Year, folks - hope your holidays provided just the right proportions of rejuvenation and excitement that you were needing. We're back at it full-steam at Compass despite losing our classroom to a post-Christmas flood for a few weeks and we just wanted to remind you that we're still available for multiple forms of support if there's anything you think we can do to help out.

I'm here to report that our networking website is up to a juicy 241 members so your ability to access interesting and useful folks to assist with your journey continues to increase. Remember, the main intention of the site is to provide a platform for you to broadcast your networking requests to the Compass universe in hopes that someone might know someone who can be of assistance. There are still some outstanding requests that could use a fresh spark and our old friend Steve Miller just posted about an upcoming ICS workshop in February. Heck, even I'm getting into the mix with a web-related request of my own. Plus Agniezska has recently added some new Myers-Briggs resource links and Tolga generously supplied us an inspiring profile of a painter with no eyes so, if you haven't visited the site for a while, perhaps you'll find it worthwhile to do a fly-by soon (click here to visit the site).

Otherwise, stay tuned for information regarding our annual Compass reunion and, on behalf of all of us at Compass, I hope that 2009 will be the best year yet for all of you in making the most of your one wild and precious life.
