Bits and bites (and bytes)

Hey, gang - here's a heads-up (courtesy of the keen-eyed Roberto) that there's a goodly-sized career fair happening Tuesday, March 31st at the Vancouver Trade and Convention Centre from 10AM-6PM.
Click here for more information including which companies will be attending.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to announce a new Forum category on the networking website where you can post volunteer opportunities. As you may recall from your Compass brainwashing, not only is volunteering a rewarding way to contribute to your community, it can also be incredibly useful to your career journey by helping you learn new skills, try out potential new roles, and connect with folks who may be able to provide a leg up. It's a win-win all-round. Thanks to Ceyda for the idea and for kicking off the party with a posting regarding the need for volunteer facilitators in Richmond. And while you're browsing the site, feel free to join Allison's new group (called "Intuitive Geeks Unite!") for those who want to trade ideas on how technology can improve our lives, check out the inspiring video Cody uploaded called "Validation", or add your favourite musical track to the new playlist. Plus the site now has real-time chat so you can converse with those online at the same time.
Click here to visit the networking site now.

Hope you're surviving winter's last stand, all.
