Cecile Andrews is the author of The Circle of Simplicity: Return to the Good Life, and Slow is Beautiful: New Visions of Community, Leisure, and Joie de Vivre, and the forthcoming Less is More: Embracing Simplicity for a Healthy Planet, Caring Economy, and Lasting Happiness. She has been a visiting scholar at Stanford University where she received her doctorate in education. A former community college administrator, she now works with community groups to explore the issue of living lives that are sustainable, just, and joyful.
