Compass Idol?

Just wanted to mention that there are still a few slots available for tomorrow evening's talent show so feel free to bring along a song, poem, stand-up comedy routine, interpretive dance number, or any other evidence of your talented nature and we'll happily add you to the list.

(remember, it's not about competency - more about taking the opportunity to express yourself and step outside your the familiar zone in an uber-supportive environment. yeah!)

Doors for the reunion open at 7PM.
Talent show kicks off at 8:30 sharp.

Looking forward to seeing all you talented cutesters!

Compass Reunion - on time and on target!

Just a quick reminder that our Fourth Annual Compass Reunion is quietly sneaking up next Thursday (March 31st) so I hope you're all doing the prescribed stretching and pre-hydrating routine in anticipation of a festive and fun-filled get-together. We'll open our doors at 7PM to begin the meet-and-greet portion of the evening and plan to kick off the talent show at 8:30 sharp. If you'd like to be on the vaunted talent show performers list, please send a quick note (bill@northshorecompass.com) and I'll reserve you a spot.

Until then, keep up the good work, all, and we look forward to seeing your shining faces next Thursday.

Reunion Confirmed - Thursday, March 31st (7-9PM)

Well, it looks like there's plenty of appetite for a March 31st reunion as well as a healthy dose of interest in reprising the talent show portion of the evening. We'll plan to open the doors at 7PM for mixing, mingling, and general hi-jinx and reserve the 8:30-9PM slot for showing of talent.

Would the folks who indicated that they would be performers please send me a quick note (to bill@northshorecompass.com) with your name and what kind of performance we can look forward to you doing (ie. singing a song, reading some writing, performing stand-up comedy, sword swallowing, etc). I'm imagining having five-minute time slots in hopes that this will allow for a goodly assortment of entertainment within our half-hour window.

Thanks to everyone who rang in on the survey and I hope you'll all keep 7-9PM Thursday, March 31st free and clear of all encumbrances so we can look forward to catching up with you then.

(in the meantime, Chuck Norris reminds you that competitive beard-growing still qualifies as a genuine, if sadly under-appreciated, talent)
