ICS Intensive w/ Steve Miller - July 7-10

Just a quick reminder about the upcoming Implicit Career Search Intensive workshop series that will be delivered by Steve Miller (one of the authors of the ICS) from Thursday, July 7th to Sunday, July 10th.

It'll take place at the Compass Centre and cover all eleven workshops in the ICS. The program is intended for those who desire some career exploration assistance but who can't commit four weeks to take the Compass program. It can also be taken by those who have taken Compass but would like a refresher in order to refocus their career path and get moving again. Cost is $675 + HST but those who have previously taken an ICS workshop (such as Compass) or done the ICS coaching model get in for the reduced rate of $125.00 plus HST.

Specific hours are: Thursday 7-10pm; Friday 9am-6pm; Saturday 9am-6pm and Sunday 9am-3pm.

If you would like more information or wish to attend, please contact Steve at 1 250 833 9280 or via his website (www.implicitcareer.com)

Six and counting...

Howdy, folks - hope this note finds you as essence-ful as an infant who's miraculously escaped his/her diaper on a sunny summer afternoon.

Some of you will have heard this news already but, for those who haven't, changes to the provincially-funded employment services industry will result in the Compass program closing as of March, 2012. While we're sad to know that the yellow hive won't be continuing, we're also trusting that this development is part of a larger plan to have us deliver our work purposes in new and as-yet-undefined ways. We also plan to have a heck of a closing bash before our lease is officially up so keep your ears pealed for that.

More importantly, it means that we've only got six program cycles remaining and that equates to less than a hundred more folks having the opportunity to use our services. Therefore, we're putting the word out that, should you know of anyone who might benefit from our unique brand of support, it might be wise to put the bug in their ear sooner rather than later - we anticipate a bit of a crush for seats towards the end of the run.

Otherwise, we're here and available to support you as usual in the coming months.

And we always love hearing check-ins of how the paddle's going for you so feel free to send a note, should you be so inclined.

All the best,

~Bill (on behalf of Team Compass)

P.S. GO, CANUCKS, GO!
