Shining up the show

Howdy, folks
We're officially T-minus-six-sleeps until next Sunday's Compass Show 'n Shine and I have a few last-minute info items to pass along to make sure the whole shebang runs as smoothly as possible.
Rumour has it that I haven't been particularly clear about what this whole affair is about (mostly because we've never done it before and, admittedly, I'm kind of making it up as I go). Here's my best description: the Show 'n Shine is intended to let Compass participants (past and present) display anything they think the rest of us might be interested in seeing. I've heard from artists who'd like to show what they've created (ie. paintings, jewelery, woodwork, writing, photography, food, films, etc.), service providers who'd like to show off their services (ie. life coaching, computer applications, massage therapies, job search materials, etc), and a few others who don't fit neatly into any particular category - any and all are welcome. The main intended goals are to celebrate the efforts of our amazing alumni, give folks a chance to be inspired by what others are doing, and provide an opportunity to meet some interesting new contacts (hello, networking!).
In terms of logistics, presenters can start setting up their stations at 12 noon in preparation for a 1PM start time. It'll be first-come-first-served for locations - I'm sure we'll have enough space for all but, if you've got a favourite spot in mind, you might want to claim that space early. I've heard from a few presenters regarding the kinds of things they might be needing to help display their wares but, if you haven't done so already, please send word so we can have things put aside for you when you arrive.
Lookie-loos, we'll be ready for your arrival at 1PM and you're welcome to meander about until 4PM when we'll be doing mop up and trying to return the Centre to its normal state (some would argue that it's never truly "normal" but none-the-less...).
That's it - have a great week and we look forward to seeing you all next Sunday.
FYI: I never did finish my macrame plant-hanger but will be happy to show off my trademark "office organizational system" to anyone interested (which basically consists of a mug in which to throw spare pens).
