On a Roll

Howdy, folks - hoping all's well out there in alumniland.
A couple of info items to pass along:
1. Sounds like there's a fair amount of interest in attending Steve Miller's free May 30th session (10-11AM) where he'll be talking about his new ICS workbook (Profoundly Simple Career Planning) and answering questions about anything ICS-related so, if you're planning to attend, please send a quick RSVP so we can make sure we've got enough room for everyone.
2. There have been some interesting recent additions to our networking website including Arlen's helpful Forum post on how to create a PDF file for resumes and cover letters and a couple of terrific videos from Kathy and Daryl that celebrate essential moments and tickle the funny bone. If you haven't visited the site (nscompassalumni.ning.com) in a while, feel free to have a gander and even add some interesting bits of your own.
3. Zina recently discovered a great-looking website community called Wiser Earth for those interested in social justice, indigenous rights, and environmental stewardship. Using this networking hub, you can connect yourself with people, groups, events, and resources to help explore any of these areas.
4. On a personal note, a number of people have graciously asked to be informed about when I'm performing (in the musical sense) next so, with an upcoming gig on June 4th, if you'd like any details, feel free to send a note and I'll happily supply. As a special treat, you'll also have the pleasure of hearing talented Compass alumnus Missy Donaldson's nimble fingers and velvet pipes as the opening act.
That's it for now, gang, but, if you hear of anything else in which you think others might be interested, please feel free to forward and we'll put it out on the loudspeaker.
Have fun finding new and exciting ways to celebrate the life and contributions of one of our most-beloved former monarchs this long weekend (hint: croquet and G&Ts).
~B
