Sa-fari, so good

Hey, gang - hope you've settled into summer nicely and are squeezing every drop of enjoyment out of these lazy, longer, warmer days.

Just wanted to mention that I'll be out of the office for a few weeks as I'm taking my act on the road - to Kenya, in fact, where I'll be volunteering with a group called Education Beyond Borders (formerly Teachers Without Borders) to help put on an educational professional development conference with some Kenyan teacher colleagues. I leave July 24th and (assuming the jackals...real ones...don't get me first) will be back at work August 30th. I'd like to thank my fabulous colleagues for spelling me for all that time and hopefully I'll have more than a Class A sunburn to bring back by way of making it all worthwhile. If there's anything you need during that span, please don't hesitate to ring Elaine, Sabrina, Zina, or Veronica for support - as you well know, they are top notch folks with an immeasurable wealth of good stuff to offer.

All the best for a great summer and I look forward to reconnecting when I'm back on familiar soil.

~Bill

Steve Trains!

Hi, folks - hope you managed to celebrate our nation's most recent birthday in culturally-appropriate fashion yesterday. (ie. lounging in a maple syrup-filled hot-tub with Anne Murray or something akin)

Just wanted to remind you that Steve Miller will be facilitating a training program for those who wish to be certified in delivering the Implicit Career Search (or using it in their practice somehow) starting later next week at the Compass Centre. The program runs from the evening of Thursday, July 8th to the afternoon of Sunday, July 18th inclusive and consists of workshops, group work, and independent study intended to help you learn the model from the facilitator's end and certify you to be able to deliver it to others. For details or to register, please refer to Steve's website (http://www.implicitcareer.com) or phone him at 1-250-833-9280.

Incidentally, during that time span the Compass Centre will be open, as per usual, and the counselors available to meet with you, as needed.

Keep your antlers perked and your hoofs on the ground, all.
