Fond Farewells

Greetings from the crows nest of the good ship Compass,

The trade winds are shifting and a sea change brewing. Our trusty shipmate Sabrina will be disembarking next week to shake out her canvas in a new port o' call. Her smile will be sorely missed, both on the quarterdeck and among our gallant crew. We wish her clear skies and a clean tide, as she makes sail for her distant horizon.

Compass Zina, (on behalf of the Compass Crew: Elaine, Bill & Veronica)

Hello fair folks of Compassland!

As my time at Compass comes to a close, I feel a mixture of sadness, deep satisfaction and gratitude. I think back to the first cycle I facilitated and going totally blank in front of the class one day - living out my greatest fear. After that moment, I understood that that needed to happen, so that I could move on from that fearful place to really enjoy, contribute and evolve how I do what I do. I also got to witness every day how there is no greater gift than to be and allow the authentic self to feel at home in the world. To do that moment by moment is a practice and to me, Compass is a space to begin that practice in a conscientious way. To those that had me as your ICS facilitator, I feel honoured that you allowed me to be a part of your journey in some small but significant way. I learned much and grew through what you shared of yourself and for that I thank you sincerely.

I am also very grateful to my colleagues that I shared this part of my journey with. Elaine, Bill, Zina and Veronica - you've been supportive and great fun to work and play with. You also helped me to grow in important ways. What I learned most in your company was to fully own and deliver what I do for it is needed.

I look forward to my upcoming move to Vancouver Island with Daniel. I'm not sure how things will unfold exactly, but really it wouldn't be much fun if I did. If you'd like updates, feel free to add me as a friend on the Compass facebook. I'd love to share and also hear what you're up to with your wild and precious lives. Creating a home (with a doggy), painting, writing and relaxation (road trip to California!!) are the first order of business (not necessarily in that order) - keep up my aliveness!

Purposefully yours,
Sabrina
